We act as counsel to First Nations as represented by Chief and Council, as well as First Nation-owned businesses, in all aspects of governance, treaty entitlements, inherent rights and economic development. We have experience in major on-reserve capital projects, financing both on and off reserve economic development projects, establishment and administration of economic development trusts, and structuring First Nation-private sector joint ventures. We provide advice in connection with employment and housing matters, regulatory matters in connection with gaming and VLT site holder agreements, drafting custom Band law and election codes, consultation protocols, impact benefit agreements and contribution agreements with both Federal and Provincial levels of government.
