Having previously worked with prominent employer-side and union-side law firms, and as counsel at the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) of Manitoba, Kara possesses a unique background allowing her to provide well-rounded insights to both employers and employees into workplace matters.

In pursuit of continuous professional development, Kara is currently working towards her Human Resource (HR) Certificate, further enhancing her expertise in labour and employment issues.
Kara actively collaborates with the Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) to develop educational materials and provide training to organizations, focusing on the eradication of sexual harassment in the workplace. She frequently presents on workplace issues, and has been invited by clients to present on sexual harassment topics, Covid-19 workplace issues, accommodation matters and general employment issues.
